I'm a MEI (individual microentrepreneur). Do I need to issue an invoice for every client?

It depends on who the client is. For a company (with a CNPJ), the invoice is always mandatory. For an individual, in 2026 you only issue one if the client asks for it, but you can issue it whenever you want.
