Who can register as a MEI?

You can be a MEI if you work on your own. The activity must be on the official permitted list. You cannot be a partner or owner of another company. You can have at most one employee. The revenue limit is R$ 81 mil per year, about R$ 6.750 per month. Revenue is the total amount you receive. TF Assessor checks whether your activity qualifies before opening it.
